Privacy Policy for iLife World

Effective date: October 25, 2026

This page tells you what information this site collects, why it collects it, and what happens to it. Plain words, the way we would want it told to us.

Who runs this site

i-life.world is run by EBONY INNOVATES (DBA), a sole proprietorship in Houston, Texas. When this page says we or us, that is who it means.

What we collect when you buy something

When you check out, we collect your name, your email address, and what you ordered. If your order is a print book or a product that ships, we also collect the mailing address you give us so the order can reach you.

Your payment is handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe and stays with Stripe. It never touches our servers and we never see it, hold it, or store it.

What we collect when you look around

Like most websites, this one uses cookies. A cookie is a small file a site leaves in your browser so the site can remember things like what is in your cart and whether you have been here before. Some cookies help us count visits so we know which pages people actually read. [DEFAULT: The site uses basic visit counting tools. No advertising trackers from social media companies are placed on purpose.] You can turn cookies off in your browser settings. The store will still work, though your cart may not remember you between visits.

If you take the free color assessment or fill out any form on this site, we collect what you type into that form so we can give you the result you asked for and follow up about it.

The email list

Our email list lives on Substack. If you subscribe there, Substack holds your email address and we use it to send the writing, the magazine, and the offers you signed up to hear about. Subscribing is always your choice. Buying something does not quietly put you on the list. [DEFAULT: Order emails and list emails are separate. You get order messages about your purchase, and list messages only if you subscribed.] Every list email carries an unsubscribe link, and one click ends it.

What we use your information for

We use what we collect to do four things. One, take your order and get it to you. Two, answer you when you write to us. Three, send the emails you asked for. Four, understand which books and pages people want more of, so we can make better ones.

What we never do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to marketers. Your name and email are not a product here. Your books are.

Who else touches your information

A small number of service companies handle pieces of an order because we cannot do those pieces ourselves. Stripe handles payments. Print partners print and ship physical books and products, and they get the address they need for your order and nothing more. Substack holds the email list for people who subscribe. [DEFAULT: These companies are allowed to use what they receive only to do the job they were handed.] If the law ever requires us to share information, for example a court order, we will share only what the law requires.

How long we keep it

[DEFAULT: Order records are kept for seven years because tax and business records require it. Form answers that did not become an order are cleared out within twelve months.] If you unsubscribe from the list, list emails stop. A record that you were a subscriber may remain inside Substack under their own policies.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do it unless a business record law requires us to keep a copy. Email us at the address below and give us enough detail to find you. [DEFAULT: We answer privacy requests within thirty days.]

Children

This store is built for adults buying for themselves and their families. [DEFAULT: We do not knowingly collect information from children under thirteen. If a parent believes a child sent us information, email us and we will remove it.]

Changes to this page

If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new effective date at the top. Changes do not apply backward to information already collected under the old version.
